Butternut Valley Days
Butternut Valley Days is a two-weekend celebration of the Valley.
Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Butternuts Beer and Ale, Garrattsville, NY
Sunday, August 23, 2026, at The Gathouse, Morris, NY
Saturday, August 29, 2026, at GEM in Gilbertsville, NY
This year marks an exciting new chapter as our community celebration expands into Butternut Valley Days—a two-weekend series of events that brings together outdoor recreation, live music, local businesses, and the people who make the Butternut Valley a vibrant place to live and visit.
The celebration begins on Saturday, August 22, with a full day of activities hosted by Butternut Valley Alliance at Butternuts Beer & Ale in Garrattsville. The day kicks off with the inaugural 5K Fun Run and the Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder, offering 16- and 48-mile cycling routes through the Valley’s scenic hills. In the afternoon and evening, the Summer Harvest Festival features free live music, family-friendly activities, food and beverages, and local vendors, followed by an outdoor movie under the stars.
On Sunday, August 23, the celebration continues in Morris with the Morris Music Festival, presented in partnership with The Gatehouse Coffee Shop & Mercantile, bringing live music into the heart of the village.
The festivities conclude the following weekend on Saturday, August 29, in Gilbertsville with the GEM Art & Music Festival at GEM Sculpture Park—a free evening of live music, art, food, and local vendors set in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting.
Whether you come for the music, the recreation, the food, or simply to spend time with friends and neighbors, Butternut Valley Days offers something for everyone. Join us in August as we celebrate the creativity, natural beauty, and strong sense of community that define the Butternut Valley.
