Enjoy the beauty of the Butternut Valley on feet by participating in BVA’s inaugural 5K fun run through New Lisbon and Garrattsville on Saturday, August 22, at 9:30 a.m.
Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder
The Butternut Valley Gravel Grinder bike ride is Saturday, August 22, 2026. Winding through the hills of the Valley, choose to ride the 16-mile short route or the 48-mile long route.
BVA Summer Festival
Part of Butternut Valley Days, BVA Summer Festival is Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Butternuts Beer and Ale in Garrattsville, NY. The event includes free live music and kids activities, food and beer, and local vendors.
Morris Music Festival
BVA is partnering with The Gatehouse in the village of Morris as part of Butternut Valley Days. The Gatehouse Coffee House is a beloved community gathering place in Morris, offering workshops and live music throughout the year.
GEM Music Festival
The GEM Music & Arts Festival is a free evening celebration of music, art, and community in the heart of Gilbertsville, NY. Set on the grounds of the GEM Sculpture Park — a 14-acre outdoor gallery featuring large-scale works from regional and national artists — the festival brings together an evening of live rock and jazz performances, food trucks, and artisan vendors from 4 to 8 PM. The inaugural festival is headlined by the Jimi Hendrix Jazz Trio, performing jazz interpretations of Hendrix's iconic catalog.
On the Trail of Art (Sunday)
On the Trail of Art is a free, outdoor arts festival presented by Butternut Valley Alliance and held this year in General Jacob Morris State Forest. The event transforms the forest into an immersive art experience, featuring original works by professional artists living in the Butternut Valley alongside artwork by local students.

BVA is participating in OCCA’s Earth Festival. The event is an annual celebration of sustainability, community, and environmental stewardship that brings together families, students, local organizations, makers, and environmental partners for a full day of learning, inspiration, and hands-on activities.
