Morris Earth Day Community Clean Up

Join Butternut Valley Alliance, Morris Rotary, Morris Central School, and the Upper Susquehanna Coalition for an Earth Day Community Clean Up on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers welcome! Bring hand trowels, gloves, and wear appropriate work clothes and footwear. We will have beverages available; please bring a refillable water bottle.

Volunteers will meet at the Morris Central School parking lot, then break into groups to work on projects, including:

  • Plantings along Calhoun and Butternut creeks

  • Street clean-up throughout the Village of Morris

  • Recycling collection

Rain date: Saturday, April 25

Items accepted for recycling:

  • Paper Shredding

  • Textiles

  • Styrofoam

  • Cork

  • Coffee Pods

  • VHS, CD's, Cassette Tapes

  • Christmas lights

  • Ink and Toner Cartridges

  • Oral Care-oral care waste: toothbrushes, floss containers & toothpaste tubes
